I have a question for you: Is your list of to-do’s getting longer and longer, and maybe did it move to the second page? You know what, you don’t have to do it all…today
In March and April, we all saw the pandemic lists – spend your time learning a new language, write a novel, clean out your closets, learn to bake fancy pastries. But you know I never talked to anyone who really did all of those things.
Yet, now there are lists out there for educators that are just as daunting…lists of all the technology tools and platforms that you need to learn and use right now.
But, you don’t have to do all of them, and certainly not all right now. If you have not made your virtual classroom complete with your bitmoji, it’s okay. Find the tools and platforms that serve a purpose for learning in your classroom, and focus on those. Learn how to use them, learn all the things they will allow you and your students to do, and use them well.
You know, today would a good day to write on the top of your list of things to-do… “You don’t have to do it all…today.”
Focus on one thing at a time…and do it well. And remember, you are not alone! Have a great day!
